#HighburyHearsYou – we at Cape Town Etc are passionate about getting local restaurants back and booming in business. As part of our #HighburyHearsYou initiative, we’re dishing out the deets on some incredible restaurants in and around town.
The sweet scents of freshly baked pasta linger in the air. Framed images of times gone by line the walls while neatly arranged tables give the impression that you’ve stepped into a cafe somewhere in Europe. In a sense, you have. Just minus the airfare and travelling costs.
Durbanville’s latest culinary experience, Old Town, promises to serve up a slice of Italy without you having to hop on a plane at all. Old Town is a not-so-little Italian gem boasting numerous restaurants in Johannesburg and Cape Town, including one in Constantia. Their winning concept is simple – all the charm, romance and simplicity of the “old town” right in your backyard.
Expect delicious authentic Italian dishes served alongside a hearty smile; they’re passionate about their food and service, offering a family-orientated atmosphere that locals love. From Italian street food (think meatballs served in Napoletana sauce) to a selection of creamy pasta, Old Town is a celebration of Italian culture and cuisine.
An experience that any foodie would love, this delectable restaurant has expanded to Durbanville, opening a space in Village Square. Well-brewed coffee and hearty meals, is there anything more we could ask for?
