Cape Town has been abuzz with celebrities lately, with two more joining the list as Jodie Foster and Shailene Woodley are in town and were photographed together at a private venue in Cape Town.

The pair are reportedly visiting the Mother City to film the Called Prisoner 760 movie which details the struggles of Mohamedou Ould Slahi who was imprisoned in Guantánamo without charge or trial for fourteen years.

Slahi was released and able to return to his family in Mauritania on October 17, 2016. Four years later his story is being told in a gripping movie that details his detention and torture at the hands of the US.

The film will be an adaption of a New York Times best-selling memoir written by Mohamedou Ould Slahi during his imprisonment, called Guantánamo Diary.

While Jodie Foster and Shailene Woodley feature in the film, other amazing actors include Benedict Cumberbatch, Zachary Levi and Tahar Rahim who will play Mohamedou Ould Slahi.

Foster will be playing Nancy Hollander, the lawyer who argued Slahi’s successful release.

Some pictures of Foster, Woodley, Slahi and Nancy Hollander herself enjoying a visit to a local spot together, made it onto Twitter.

Woodley is reportedly also in the Mother City to further pursue her passion for the ocean, working with local conservation organisations to spread awareness and speak out about the plight of our earth, sea and all the animals that call it home.
