Mother’s Day is around the corner and let’s face it, most of us will will be spending some money to spoil our moms. So, what will it be this year? Chocolates again? More hand lotion? Or would you rather give her something that is extra special because it is making a difference in a young child’s life?

The Childhood Cancer Foundation (CHOC) is a resting and accommodation facility that provides care for children with cancer and their families.

Many families from low-income communities don’t have the means to travel often to big hospitals for treatments, and nowhere to stay in between hospital visits. CHOC provides a safe haven for these kids and their families – at no cost to them.

They offer accommodation and nutritional support, as well as bereavement support to the children and their families who are going through very difficult circumstances.  The psychosocial teams bring much-needed support to children, parents and family members, as well as support to the medical and nursing staff.

But as with any non-profit organisation, they rely solely on donations to continue their good work. So, some of the very talented kiddies have drawn and coloured a few spectacular Mother’s Day cards!

To support them and help fund this amazing support structure, let’s give our moms a special and unique hand-drawn card this year.

Here are some of the artworks on offer:
