Jean-Michel Victor has set a new record by running up and down Lion’s Head 13 times in the space of 23 hours. He broke this record on the evening of Tuesday, October 20. He ran to raise money and awareness for mental health and the Love your Nuts testicular cancer initiative.
“And to think all this started back in 2017 on the 11th of September when Kosta Nektarios Papageorgiou started his 500 summits of Lion’s Head Mountain. Jean took over from Kosta back in February the 11th of 2020 when Kosta summited his 500th time. Jean is now on summit 54. He probably would have been on summit 100 and something if it wasn’t for lockdown curfews and the closure of Lion’s Head,” the Lion 500 Facebook page said.
“The Lion 500 story is getting more and more interesting with a Lion 500 Mental Health Podcast in the works and with the Lion 500 Open Games opening the doors for anybody to become a champion and raise funds and spread awareness for their chosen cause by following their own passion. Anybody can get involved as long as they are serious about their intentions and goals.”
There are so many individuals and organizations that are passionately supporting the Lion 500 runners and keeping them motivated.
