The COVID-19 pandemic has put a damper on things in more ways than one. Whether you’re social distancing to keep your mom safe or living a million kilometres from home, here are a few ways you can still make Mother’s Day a special one.

Have a virtual date:

If there’s one thing that the COVID-19 pandemic has taught us, it’s that most things can be done online, including having a virtual get-together with your mom. While getting your mom a cool gift is great, nothing says, “I appreciate you mom,” quite like quality time. Make her day by hopping on Zoom, Skype or FaceTime call with her. We’re sure you’ll make her day!

List the reasons you love her:

If you’re feeling sentimental and looking to express just how much you love your mom, why not let her know with a lengthy list. Mother’s Day is all about showering your mom with love and appreciation, so make sure she knows all the reasons you think she’s amazing.

Cook her favourite meal:

Even though she won’t be there to enjoy it, smelling the sweet scents of her favourite meal may help you feel closer to her. But make sure you send lots of pictures!

Do some scrapbooking:

Put your scrapbooking skills to good use by creating a personalised album or a simple book of all your favourite memories. It’s a great way to feel closer to your mom while creating something special that she will surely love.

Send her something special:

Show her how amazing she is by treating her to something special. Send her a package filled with all her favourite things on Mother’s Day, and make sure you get to see your mom’s eyes light up as she opens her gift by calling her over Skype or Whatsapp. If you’re the worst at gift-giving, why not treat her to a day at the spa?
