Three of the iconic, colourful bathing boxes at St James Beach in Muizenberg were destroyed in a fire in August 2020. Since then, the “Save Our Beach Huts” initiative was started to ensure the huts are beautiful once again.
The well-known spot is recognised globally as a perfect place to capture a picture of the mountains with the colourful boxes and the beach. It is situated along the False Bay coastline between Muizenberg and Kalk Bay.
Now, Pick n Pay has joined in on the action. The company has partnered with Save Our Beach Huts and together they have designed a recycled reusable bag to help fund the refurbishment of the huts.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The bags are produced by Virobag and are locally made, recycled, reusable and lightweight RPET bags. They can fold and fit in your handbag, making it perfect for all your shopping needs.
The bags will be launched in select Pick n Pay stores from this week onwards.
