#HighburyHearsYou – At Cape Town Etc, we are passionate about getting local restaurants back and booming in business. As part of our #HighburyHearsYou initiative, we’re dishing out the deets on some incredible restaurants in and around town.
About The Wolf House:
There are two words that I’ve always associated with Kloof Street – vibrant and trendy, says Cape {town} ETC’s Lynn Cupido. Music blaring in the background, car guards greeting you as you walk past, and the sweet aromatic smells of food wafting through the air. Kloof Street is definitely something else- in the best way.
Following the promise of good food and a lekker vibe, an unassuming establishment clad in black comes into view. “The Wolf House: burgers & fries” is the name that reads on the door. I mean, who doesn’t love a good burger?
The electric energy of Kloof Street follows you into The Wolf House and merges with something that says: “hey, why don’t you kick back and enjoy a few cold ones?” It’s the perfect spot to head to after work and grab a few drinks with friends. The space: open and inviting, and the rooftop is something else entirely. If you’d rather skip dragging yourself up Kloof Corner for 40-minutes all in the name of viewing an epic sunset, then may we suggest The Wolf House’s rooftop area?
Patrons are treated to a gorgeous view of Table Mountain, cosy seating and an airstream trailer bar with some of the best cocktails in town.
Speaking of cocktails, Thursdays are extra special for ladies, as they get to indulge in a few extra cocktails with their “buy one get one free” special. Don’t worry fellas, there are a few other incredible promotions for you to enjoy too, such as their Monday burger special (only R65!) or their Wednesday Nachos and free Corona special.
Drink in hand, a juicy burger that you get to dunk in gravy, and a killer sunset – what more could you ask for?
What to try:
Their burgers are the star of the show, and it’s definitely worth a try if you visit. The best part? It comes with gravy that you dip your burger into. A tad bit messy, but oh-so-delicious.
Their cheesy nachos are a great alternative, along with a saucy side dish of ribs.
