It’s no secret that Cape Town property and accommodation can cost you a pretty penny, but if you’re looking to get yourself a penthouse suite in the trendy Silo Hotel this festive season, expect a staggering R151 200 a night prize tag.
This places The Silo Hotel’s penthouse suites at the top of the country’s most expensive hotel rooms list for a 211 square meter room, but why the price tag?
There’s no doubt that R152 200 is a hefty price for a night’s stay, but the Silo Hotel’s penthouse suites do indeed offer a remarkable experience.
Part of your price tag includes exquisite views, a 10 person seater dining room, a large ensuite bathroom, his and hers changing rooms, a private treatment room, a study, two large entertainment areas and some seriously generous balconies in the bedroom and entertainment areas. All in all, the room is larger than the average South African home.
The pillowed glass windows offer panoramic views and the ideal position of the suite built on top of a renovated grain silo built in 1921 is also one of the most uniquely located spots in the city.
Guests can take in ideal views of Table Mountain, Signal Hill and the V&A Waterfront from the ideally perched suite.
The suite attracts a wide range of luxury travelers and breakfast, parking, a limited minibar, sparkling wine, Wi-Fi and a welcome gift upon arrival are included in the price.
Other services such as laundry, telephone calls, transfers, and spa treatments are billed separately.
A penthouse suite is definitely a luxurious option but a few could afford such a price tag, at least we still get to see its beauty in pictures.
