That chill you feel in the air is not just the usual cold from the southeaster; in fact, the wind is carrying with it the frosty weather from parts of the Western Cape such as Oudstoorn, Matroosberg and the Swartberg Mountain range where snow has recently fallen.
SA Weather Services say their afternoon satellite images show some chilly weather for most of South Africa, including the Western Cape, for the rest of the day, but no more snow is on the horizon as of yet.
