Hazendal Wine Estate announced the opening of The Homestead. This historic Cape Dutch homestead, built in 1790, has been painstakingly renovated into an exclusive-use five-bedroom farmhouse, offering up to 10 guests a luxurious home-from-home in the Cape Winelands.

The Homestead overlooks the clipped lawns of the werf, just a few steps away from all of Hazendal’s cultural and culinary activities. What’s more, overnight packages include complimentary access to Wonderdal Edutainment Centre, curated art tours by the Marvol Gallery and public art, and a wine-tasting experience in the Hazendal Wine Lounge.

Have a swing

Fore! Hazendal has teed up a brand-new golf experience on the estate. The highlight is the world-class 18-hole par-3 mashie course, built to exacting USGA-standards.

Alongside, The Burrow offers a technology-enhanced driving range experience on a 270-metre range, while the Kleine Hazen Putting Park is perfect for a fun-filled day out with the family.

Hazendal’s golf facilities are open to all visitors, with membership packages on offer for regular players.

A feast for the senses

Gourmands and oenophiles will love Hazendal Wine Estate’s new Sensory Experience. This exclusive journey into the wines of Hazendal and the art of food-and-wine-pairing begins with a guided tour of the cellar, unpacking the history and evolution of the estate and its vineyards.

Then, step into the elegant underground Wine Library where the expert wine ambassadors guide guests through the wines of Hazendal, each paired with a flavour-packed micro-plate served in a striking ceramic and glass tower.

The Sensory Experience (R680pp) is offered daily (Tues-Sun) at 12h30. Reservations are essential.
