While South Africans were not able to view the spectacular Super Blue Blood Moon on Wednesday night, Frank Baden – an international photographer working in the Mother City right now – was able to capture the Super Blue Moon in all its beauty.

A Super Moon is when the Moon is at its closest point to Earth and appears to be 14 percent bigger and 30 percent brighter than normal. A Blue Moon is when there are two full moons in one calendar month. A Super Blue Moon is a combination of the two.
