1. Sand Boarding

There’s nothing that says summer holidays more than a day spent at the beach. What makes this beach more interesting, however, is that you can take a dip in the ocean alongside some penguins.

3. Muizenberg Water Slides
Right next to Muizenberg Beach lies the Muizenberg Waterslides, making it the perfect location for a full and fun day out. The kids can have some fun on the slides then have a swim in the beach. After they’ve built up an appetite you can grab a bite to eat at one of the many stores opposite the beach.

4. Strawberry Picking
At Polkadraai Farm, you can treat your kids to a day of strawberry picking. There are also extra activities available including, a playground, face painting, pony rides and tractor rides.

5. Art Jamming

7. Tabogganing at Cool Runnings
If your kids speed but you’re worried about safety then Cool Runnings is the place to go. Fun for kids and adults, the tabogganing track has you racing down the Durbanville slopes.

8. The Alpaca Loom
Animals are always fun to be around, and its not every day that you get a chance to interact with alpacas.
The Alpaca Loom, in Paarl, has so much to offer. You can feed the alpacas at the petting zoo and go on a barn tour or an alpaca walk. Additionally, you can watch weavers handcraft alpaca wool into products such as blankets and scarfs.

9. Biking on Sea Point Promenade

11. Cave Golf

12. Flying Dutchman Funicular

The Flying Dutchman Funicular is one of the highlights of Cape Point. The railway takes visitors up to see the old lighthouse and also allows you to enjoy the stunning views.

15. Kids chocolate making classes at Lindt
If your kids have a bit of a sweet tooth and an interest in getting their hands dirty in the kitchen, then this is the activity for them!
