I’ve heard a lot of people discuss their Zara experience as follows:
They see an incredibly unique piece, ask where the wearer copped it from, only to hear ‘Zara’. And so they may scratch their heads wondering just which section of the store that particular gem of a piece was discovered, as they can’t seem to find them when they embark on a Zara excursion.
Finding items at Zara is a case study all on its own. For the inexperienced, and sometimes even experienced navigator, a trip to the store makes you feel like putting on your metaphorical Indiana Jones hat in preparation for the hunt.
However, Zara is switching up their store layout and reconstructing a whole new look, and it might just prove to make the hunt a little easier.
According to Retailistings, Zara’s latest store concept is coming to Cape Town.
The site expresses that Zara is “currently refurbishing and enlarging its flagship store” at the V&A, Victoria Wharf.
The best part? They’re offering a fully integrated experience with Zara.com.
The revamped store, which is due to launch later this year will see enlargement across two floors. You can peruse more freely, and the space will make finding your latest adorations a lot easier. This omnichannel model is going to allow movers and shakers in fashion to do what they do best- find their favourites, but without spending hours doing so.
Additionally, Zara Beauty is also going to be an integral part of the design. The layout is projected to encompass gorgeous flowing curved lines, white surfaces nurtured with luscious green pockets.
Beyond space and beauty, Zara is offering a “digitalised and differentiated” version of the store, according to Retailistings. This means featuring technological and sustainability-focused developments.
On the tech side of things, searching for items is going to be far easier. In a statement, Zara expressed that the technology is going to implement the Radio frequency identification system or RFID. This will allow for each item to be identified using a chip, so the company will be able to identify each item.
In terms of sustainability, this focus is all-important for Zara to stay on brand with one of the most important trends right now: eco-fashion, which the Spanish-originated retailer is a proud proponent of.
