Following a rainy weekend, the Mother City will be in for sunny weather and partly cloudy conditions without a drop of rain in the forecast for next week.
Three days of rain are in store for Cape Town starting from Thursday, June 25 through to Saturday, June 27. Forecaster Mike Berridge says two cold fronts will soon reach the Western Cape, bringing with them much rain.
“The Low “LK” is the northern perimeter of a mid latitude low trough, with it’s centre situated very far south of the diagram area. There are two fronts about to wade into the Western Cape. The first one “F4” has somewhat collapsed on reaching land, but the rain belt shown in pink behind it will make landfall during the afternoon with fairly heavy rain.
“The second front “F5” will follow early tomorrow (Friday) bringing a rainy cold day for the west and south-west Cape, and far south-west Namibia. A dotted pink line shows the leading edge of the rain belt tomorrow, with obliging pink direction arrows. As part of the same low pressure complex, another front (“F6?”) will arrive on Saturday propelled by a stronger low trough,” he says.
From Sunday, June 28 new weather conditions will kick in, with partly cloudy conditions expected and a high of 17°C and a low of 12°C.
Continuing on into the new week, Monday, June 29 will bring the same temperatures and partly cloudy conditions as Sunday. Tuesday, June 30 will warm up slightly with a high of 19°C and a low of 11°C predicted, and sunny weather conditions are expected throughout the day.
Wednesday, July 1 will be a sunny day as well with a high of 19°C and a low of 12°C. On Thursday, June 2 temperatures will dip again slightly to a high of 18°C and a low of 11°C with partly cloudy conditions according to Weather.com.
