Spring may be here, but it seems the Mother City has not quite gotten the memo. Capetonians can expect more rain, cloudy weather and moderate temperatures this week. Weather forecasts predict three days of light showers for the Cape.
The week begins with it light rain showers, a high of 14° and low of 9° on Monday, September 14. The South African Weather Service (SAWS) says the day will be “partly cloudy and cold but cool along the west coast, with isolated showers and rain in the south west, spreading to the south coast by the afternoon. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh westerly to south-westerly but strong along the south coast at first”.
Tuesday [September 15] will be mostly sunny, reaching a high of 15° and a low of 10°.
The rain makes its return on Wednesday [September 16]. There is a 60% chance of rain with temperatures ranging between 9° and 15°.
Weather will warm up slightly from Thursday [September 17] to a high of 17° and low 11°. This trend continues on Friday [September 18] which will range from 12° to 18°.
Temperatures take a slight dip at the weekend, with Saturday [September 19] expected to record a high of 16° and low of 12°. The week ends as it started: with rain. Sunday [September 20] is predicted to bring scattered showers and temperatures between 11° and 15°.
