There has been a string of warm days in the Mother City, but don’t get too used to it. The new week brings true Cape Town weather – there will be rain, wind and cloud cover.
The week starts off warm, yet partly cloudy weather on Monday [November 23], with a high of 18°C and a low of 14°C. Tuesday [November 24], however, is predicted to be a bit dreary with 80% chance of rain. The day will fetch a high of 17°C and a low of 12°C.
The skies will mostly clear on Wednesday [November 25], with a high of 17°C and a low of 13°C.
Temperatures are expected to rise slightly from Thursday [November 26] onwards, but clouds will cover the skies until Sunday [November 290. Expect a high of 20°C and a low of 13°C on Thursday, with wind speeds reaching 35km/hour.
Friday [November 27] and Saturday [November 28] will be the same, with a high of 23°C and a low of 15°C and 16°C respectively. The week concludes on Sunday with a high of 24°C and a high of 16°C, as well as cloudy skies.
While Cape Town experiences relatively calm weather this week, other parts of the country face adverse conditions. The South African Weather Service (SAWS) has issued a weather warning for severe thunderstorms in multiple provinces.
