Residents are rejoicing after a weekend of heavy rains quenched the Cape’s thirst, and many living near catchment areas are reporting water surging towards some of the Mother City’s lowest dams.
Rain water was seen flowing down Riviersonderend river towards Theewaterskloof yesterday as well as along the Breede River and canals leading to Voëlvlei dam.
The rainy weather is not about to go anywhere either, with three more days of showers forecast for the Mother City from Friday possibly all the way through to Monday.
