Well-known photographer and artist Narda Rubens will exhibit at Art.b Gallery (the Arts Association of Bellville) from January 29 to February 8 this year. The solo exhibition will have two themes – Moonlight and Pypies.
Since her tenth birthday in 1926, when she received a box Brownie camera, Ruben’s has been in love with photography, especially with light. She graduated from Wits University where she majored in languages, music and art history. From there she spent some time in England working at a film studio, then moved to Pretoria to work for Film services.
Thereafter, she made her way to Cape Town where she taught photography. To this day, Narda is still active as a photographer.
