Simple and delicious delights on the Werf
Try the Easter specials at the Spier Farm Café. For breakfast, a decadent hot cross bun French toast; for lunch, tuck into some sustainable Cape Malay pickled fish with grilled sourdough and salad. Nearby, there’ll be a stand selling spit-roasted lamb rolls. Still peckish? Vadas Smokehouse & Bakery will have hot cross buns and other special Easter treats available to take home.
A Classic Easter Sunday Lunch
This festive feast on Sunday April 12 at the Spier Hotel features classics like roasted prime rib on the bone, roast chicken and slow-braised lamb along with fish in chive lemon butter and charred broccoli. Sides include freshly baked farm bread, traditional pickled fish and an array of salads. For dessert, there’ll be a hot cross bun bread & butter pudding, berry pavlovas, milk tarts and an assortment of ice creams. R395 per adult, R200 per child from 6-12, Free for children under 6.
Easter Sunday Picnic
Enjoy a leisurely feast under Spier’s ancient oaks on Easter Sunday. On Sunday April 12, while you relax in the shade with a glass of wine, send the kids on an Easter egg treasure hunt adventure. Uncover all the clues and be rewarded with a bundle of delicious chocolate eggs to take home. R150 per child.
