Trenchtown is like an oasis in the desert and this vibey spot in Obs will play host to The Burn Bazaar. This event, like Aladdin’s cave of treasures, is specially designed to cover all your festival fashion needs. Whether you’re headed to fiery adventures in the Karoo this April, enjoying the last of Cape Town’s summer jols, or stocking up on retro gear for your winter wardrobe, this pop-up style market offers something for everyone.
Over 20 carefully curated traders will be flogging their vintage finds and locally made creations with absolutely everything your imagination can conjure. From classic favourites, like colourful faux fur coats, steampunk accessories, retro 80’s jackets, embellished denim, and leather bum bags, to the wildest, weirdest and most attention-seeking pieces – Trenchtown will have it all.
Think sequins, sparkles, feathers, celestial crowns, tassels, pasties, acid wash, velvet, crop tops, pimp coats, tutus, body chains, animal print and the wackiest waistcoats. Coupled with a fantastic line-up of talented local artists playing vibey tunes throughout the evening, The Burn Bazaar is something all festival goers will want to get involved in. There will also be a very special burlesque performance after the sun has set.
Entrance is through the garden on Lower Main Road and R30 gets you in for the evening. Most traders have card facilities and there will be an on-site ATM. Trenchtown will be offering food and drink specials throughout the evening so you don’t go hungry.
