Preparations for the popular Knysna Oyster Festival are underway as the scenic seaside town gears up for another activity filled festival in the heart of the Garden Route.
With the event planned to kick off on Friday,June 26 to Sunday, July 5 2020, local event organisers and the greater community are busy finalising event offerings – which will span the greater Knysna area.
Oysters will remain the protagonist, with event planners curating a midweek programme which will include the popular Flavours of Knysna – and bringing back events like Oyster Shucking, the Waitron Race and comedy shows, to mention a few.
The Knysna Wine Festival will take place on evenings Friday, 3 and Saturday, July 4, with restaurants in and around the town offering specials on oysters, and other unique culinary experiences.
With entries open for the Knysna Cycle Tour and Knysna Forest Marathon, organisers encourage activities and stalls interested in featuring on the school field (the registration, and start and finish point for the races) to ensure their inclusion by getting in touch with [email protected].
Falling into the last two weekends of the mid-year school holidays, Visit Knysna encourages all visitors scheduling holidays to the Garden Route, families, sport, art and food enthusiasts to book now to experience this annual iconic festival.
