In honour of International Cat Day which is celebrated annually on August 8, Cat Heaven invites cat lovers to join their cat-spirational celebratory event.

Kicking off on Friday 9 August cat-lovers are invited to attend a special day at the rescue cat café in Somerset West from 10am to 2pm with a lucky draw at 12pm.

Visitors are charged R20 per head to enter the cat café per hour and special waitrons will be serving up delightful cakes dressed in cat-inspired cosplay

Cat-lovers are invited to spend the day with 20 beautiful cats and celebrate their rescue from the shelter. As South Africa’s first Rescue Cat Cafe, Cat Heaven’s mission is to bring awareness to abandoned and abused cats/animals, to encourage the public to “rather adopt than shop”. Cats are not toys. They have a heart, a soul and feel pain and joy as we humans do.

In the month of July, patrons of the Rescue Cafe can bring a picture of their own cat and it will be displayed in the indoor cafe. In turn you will receive a number for the lucky draw on the 9th August 2019.

First prize at the draw is a voucher to the value of R600 for a meal for two at Henri’s Restaurant in Somerset West and second and third prizes are gifts to the value of R200 for your lucky cat. Winners must be present at the time of the draw.

Please note no children under the age of 6 are allowed inside the Rescue Café.

Coffee, tea, soft drinks, cakes, cookies, biltong, popcorn and Pedal Pops will be on sale.

Guests will be able to browse in the paw-some cat-inspired gift shop,

The catcitement is going to be catagious.
