On June 22, the registered NPO STAY SAFE, a personal safety and empowerment initiative for women and girls, is hosting a practical, interactive self-defence workshop at the Sport Science Institute.
A discussion with David Morenne, a reformed armed robber, motivational speaker, mentor, pastor and author of Guilty as charged – A danger to society will precede the practical session.
The event is a fundraiser, as the cause relies entirely on sponsorships and donations to sustain itself. STAY SAFE is endorsed by singer Annie Lennox and Primedia’s LEAD SA drive.
STAY SAFE presents “Victim or Victorious”, an interactive self-defence workshop presented by Principal Instructor Sanette Smit and her team, preceded by a conversation with David Morenne, a reformed armed robber, motivational speaker, mentor, pastor and author of Guilty as charged – A danger to society.
Sanette is a renowned self-defence practitioner with over 40 years’ experience.
