In March, Adidas Originals and Bad Bunny (rap superstar who won best Latin Pop/ Urban Album at this year’s Grammy’s), announced that they were teaming up. Said partnership would see the creatives, although on different sides of the artistic spectrum, unite. The result: a delicious pair of sneakers.

Easter and fashion aren’t always thought of interchangeably, but this Sunday, Adidas and Bad Bunny are unwrapping a sweet surprise.

Philanthropy is a core element in the pair’s creative outlook, promising sneaker distribution to communities in need.

Today, as many of us enjoy treats like chocolate eggs and bunnies, the streetwear fashion world will be on a different kind of hunt. The footgear, coined ‘Easter Egg’, will sneak into our hearts (and for the lucky few, closest).

“Easter Egg” is dressed up in pink variants, soft suedes and smooth leathers. Inspired by the 1984 Adidas Forum Buckle Low, it also sports a trendy retro influence.

Combining fashion and Easter is evident in the final display of the shoe. Variant pastel laces and soft colours are all closely related to a traditional Easter aesthetic.

However, having music as an inspiration has proved to jazz things up a bit. Mr Bad Bunny tied the design together by dressing the sneakers with the tag, “Yo Visto Así” or “I dress like this” (one his most streamed tunes on Spotify).

Bad Bunny and Adidas may just have outshone the Easter Bunny this year…

What do you think?
