It’s official – the new host of the longest-running game show in South Africa, Noot vir Noot, has been chosen: Emo Adams, a talented Capetonian singer, will be taking over Johan Stemmet’s former post in August this year.
In an social media statement, Johan Stemmet, the show’s popular previous host, shared the news that Adams would be taking over the show.
“Welcome as presenter of Noot vir Noot….EMO ADAMS!,” his post reads.
Born in Mitchells Plain, Adams has made a name for himself in the music and performance industry – he was a member of the band JAG in the 90s, which had fans across South Africa – as well as the world of theatre. He was cast at the tender age of nine in the production of District 6 The Musical, and later travelled to Germany as part of the cast of a award-winning production, Kat & the Kings.
Adams is known for his witty, energetic and playful nature, which he will surely bring to the stage on Noot vir Noot. It is reported that Adams will start as the show’s host on August 15 2019.
Adams’ passion and talent has earned him many fans, and South Africans took to social media to share their excitement at the news.
