Suspended ANC Secretary-General Ace Magashule may face disciplinary charges following his “unbecoming, divisive and defiant behaviour.”

This comes after Magashule, along with national executive committee (NEC) member Tony Yengeni allegedly made disparaging remarks about party leaders during former president Jacob Zuma’s court appearance last week, as per IOL

On Monday, acting secretary-general Jessie Duarte addressed the media on the results of the ANC national working committee (NWC) meeting. According to Duarte, the NWC has instructed the national presenter to look into “these breaches of discipline” and investigate charges that align with the ANC constitution and code of conduct.

She went on to state that the “national presenter” was tasked to “investigate charges against any person who is identified as having any misdemeanour.”

According to News24, any person charged in relation to the ANC’s Rule 25 has two weeks to state their side of the case, along with mitigating factors on why they should not be charged.
