The Beer Association of South Africa has asked the government to consider the jobs and livelihoods ahead of President’s Cyril Ramaphosa’s address on Sunday, June 27.
As reported on Saturday, June 26, the President will address the nation on the country’s current COVID-19 status. South Africa has reported 17,958 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the association indicated that the country does not have the possibility of entering another hard lockdown including a ban on the sale of alcohol, EWN reports.
According to the association, the only way out of this is the implementation of sensible restrictions. Health experts have also warned that gatherings should be limited to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 as the country deals with a new aggressive variant.
