A building on Victoria Road in Woodstock caught fire on Sunday, November 15.
The City’s Fire & Rescue Service received an emergency call at 11.02am of a building alight in Woodstock.
Salt River & Roeland Street Fire Station crews were dispatched to the incident. When the Officer in Charge arrived on scene he immediately called for additional resources.
Crews from Brooklyn, Epping and Milnerton arrived to assist. It was confirmed that a furniture factory was alight. Crews managed to contain the fire and downscale the amount of vehicles on scene at just after 1pm.
Firefighters will remain on scene for a considerable time to ensure the fire is completely extinguished.
Motorists are advised to avoid Sir Lowry and Victoria Roads and pedestrians are urged to steer clear of the area.
The cause of the fire is unclear.
