The latest Cape Town dam levels for the week have been released – how do you think we are faring?
As of last Monday, the collective dam levels were at 35.1% – an increase of 0.9% following the previous week. This week we’re seeing more improvement, as collective dam levels have increased by 2.1%.
At the time of writing, no more significant rainfall is forecast for Cape Town. Have we reached the end of the rainy season? Long-term predictions certainly point to it. Last week up to 80mm of rainfall was recorded in Newlands, while a meagre 1.3mm was observed at Theewaterskloof.
Residents are strongly advised to adhere to level 5 water restrictions which are now in place.
