In Cape Town, even our grannies are awesome.

Resident Georgina Harwood recently celebrated her 100th birthday by doing something most of us would chicken out of, myself included – skydiving.

This was Georgina’s third skydive, the first being in 2007 when she was 92. Now that is quite something. It still hasn’t ultimately convinced me to do the same just yet, but if I reach the grand old age of 100 I will certainly look into it.

The birthday celebrations aren’t over just yet – today Georgina is going shark cage diving. Could she be any cooler?

Georgina’s jump was also used to raise funds for the NSRI for the purchase of more life jackets for volunteers. Click here to read more on that.
