Summer is here and tourist season is upon us. In 2016 Cape Town has won award after award, cementing its status as a top tourist destination. From top beaches and coffee shops, the number one tourist attraction in the country to being voted the top city in the world, we have collected them all. Just when you thought our luck has run out, BOOM! We get another feather in our cap.

The world’s most successful travel publisher in the world, Lonely Planet, has named Cape Town the second best city in the world in their Best in Travel 2017 list. Bordeaux in France  took the top spot, and Cape Town was followed up by Los Angeles, USA; Merida, Mexico and Ohid, Macedonia. Lonely Planet says our famous natural charms combines with our cultural and culinary additions is what makes us great.

Just been to Bordeaux which was a delight. A lovely city in a very different way to, one of my favourites, Cape Town.
