The Cape Town storm has continued to unleash fury around the city.
A fire was started at Harfield Train Station due to sparking power lines, parts of the roof at Cavendish Mall have fallen down, as have parts of the roof at Somerset Mall – which earlier led to an evacuation at the latter. No injuries or casualties were reported.
Large swells are being reported all over the Cape coastline. Waves have been increasing in size since this morning and have left Strand’s Beach Road under water. Sea Point Promenade is being battered with rough seas and has been left covered in foam.
