It’s no secret that Beyoncé is the queen of music. Well, this time, Cape Town has three queens that deserve as much recognition as Queen B herself.
Three women from the cast of Woman2Woman: Felicity Kiran, Amasure and Lauren-Lee Bock put together a performance of Beyoncé’s ‘Irreplaceable’… with a fantastic Capetonian twist. The ladies created their own take on the empowering song with a few Afrikaans lyrics and strong accents.
Since the video, titled ‘Stap Links’, was posted it went viral on most social media platforms. The purpose of the video was to promote the Woman2Woman show that will be taking place on 28 and 29 October 2016. The video was made to highlight the importance of sisterhood as well as the experiences and challenges in between that women face. 10% of the show proceeds will go towards CANSA in light of cancer awareness month.
