An increase in accidents along the N2 route between Cape Town and Somerset West has been reported by the Safe N2 Project.

These accidents are alleged to have been caused by loose objects being placed on the highway, such as stones and bricks. Safe N2 representative Neil Slater says that members of the project have noticed objects along the road. The organisation also says that people using this route often have to pull over in order to change tires that have been damaged.

If you’re driving along the N2 and spot any irregularities, or find yourself in any kind danger, seek help and safety as soon as possible and inform someone of the hazards you’ve encountered. Stay safe Cape Town!
