According to an advisory from the South African Weather Service, accumulated rainfall amounts of 25-45mm are widely expected with 60-90mm likely near the mountainous regions of the province over the next 2 days.
The City of Cape Town’s Disaster Risk Management Centre (DRMC) will be on standby to deal with any incidents related to an expected frontal system, IOL reports.
Members of the public are also urged to contact the City’s Public Emergency Communication Centre on 107 from a landline or 021 480 7700 to report any incidents related to inclement weather.
