The Western Cape has 2717 active cases of COVID-19 as of 1pm, 15 March. The province’s total number of COVID-19 infections has now reached 277 617 confirmed cases and 263 542 recoveries. This indicates a maintained 94.9 percent recovery rate.
A total of 24 865 out of the 25 960 vaccines received to date, as part of the Sisonke trial, had been administered by 5pm on 11 March, reports Premier Alan Winde. This indicates that 95.7 percent of the total number of vaccines have been used.
According to the latest Covid-19 statistics from the SA Health Ministry, 1 455 325 people have recovered from the coronavirus, taking the country’s recovery rate to 95%, reports IOL.
