According to the Tutu Legacy page on Twitter, Mrs Leah Tutu informed them that the Arch was admitted to hospital for treating a condition which he has been struggling with over the last few years.
This is not Tutu’s first hospital admission for the condition and it is being referred to as a ‘stubborn infection’.

Just two months ago Tutu turned 88 and is a prominent figure respected by many across the Mother City and the country.
Only time will tell how his condition advances and whether he will stay in the hospital for an extended period or be released in the coming days.
