We’ve all heard the rumors about Dunkin’ Donuts coming to our shores. Thankfully, they’re true!

After decades of watching television and movie cops indulge in these scrumptious balls of dough, Dunkin’ Donuts is finally heading our way. We no longer have to imagine how deliciously decadent the donuts are, or have to fly abroad to get a fix. And because Cape Town is so cool, we’ll be getting our very own Dunkin’ Donuts – and it could be opening sooner than you think.

The hugely popular franchise is scheduled to open at the end of October but if you can’t wait that long, don’t worry. There’s a way you can push this date forward – yes, really! Dunkin’ Donuts is challenging Capetonians to participate in a daily task that will help determine the launch date. Not only will you get to sample the world’s favourite baked goods and coffee brand but you can help your fellow man (and woman) enjoy it too. Here’s how:

Every morning from 29 September, Dunkin’ Donuts will be posting daily challenges on their website, Facebook and Twitter. These will be in the form of on-the-ground activations and social media challenges. For every goal met, the official Dunkin’ Donuts launch date moves forward. So  go on, watch out for the challenges, enjoy some incredible coffee and donuts and help make Dunkin’ Donuts Cape Town open sooner!

Just make it after summer please… The temptation is too strong! On the downside, does that mean our police units will be even less productive??

Dunkin Donuts is terrible. As an American, who loves coffee and has had DD – it’s horrible and South Africa already has so much better.
