A 4-star hotel in Durbanville went up in flames in the early hours of the morning and guests were forced to evacuate as the raging fire travelled through the estate.
Just after 5.30am on Tuesday morning, the City’s Fire & Rescue Services responded to a call that a hotel was alight on Langeberg Road, Durbanville.
Eight fire-fighting appliances, a specialised vehicle and 29 staff members were on the scene to fight the flames.
The fire was successfully contained just after 7am with all persons successfully evacuated from the hotel and no injuries reported.

Ruslamere Hotel, Spa and Conference Centre was reportedly the hotel that caught fire. The cause of the blaze has not yet been confirmed.
