Drivers passing through Kraaifontein during their morning commute have been warned to be cautious. There are reports that members of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) have blockaded some roads in the Bloekombos area on Friday, November 27.
There are also reports that vehicles are being stoned and tyres have been set alight.

“Please avoid Maroela Road, Kraaifontein Industria,” said journalist Julian Jansen via his official Facebook page.
According to Jansen, the protest was approved by court and will continue from 8am until 2pm on Friday afternoon. The protest will go from Kraaifontein’s CBD, to the local police station and make its way to Wallacedene on the other side of the area. It will also pass by the Kraaifontein clinic and municipal offices. The party is believed to be protesting against the scourage of gender-based violence, general violence, extortion and other issues.
