An elderly woman was attacked by a suspect wielding a knife in her home in Stanford in the Overberg region.
The attack was reported on Monday, February 17, and it is alleged that the woman was also punched in the face several times during the onslaught. A cellphone and tablet were stolen during the incident, and one suspect has been apprehended thus far.

In another case, two tourists were brutally attacked while visiting Wemmershoek, an area located between Paarl and Franschhoek on the morning of Tuesday, February 11. According to Ian Cameron, the Head of Safety for AfriForum, the tourists were attacked by three suspects while staying in a cottage on the farm.
Cameron added that no weapons were stolen, as is typical with attacks that occur on farms.
