Eskom has announced that South Africans should not be expecting any loadshedding today as generation capacity has sufficiently recovered.
The power utility announced late last night stage two loadshedding will take place from 9pm on night until 5am on Wednesday, April 14.
According to Eskom’s Sikonathi Mantshantsha, a unit each at Tutuka, Medupi, Duvha and Hendrina power stations successfully returned to service, helping to boost generation capacity. “A further two units are expected to return to service later today and emergency generation reserves were also sufficiently replenished,” Mantshantsha added.
