South Africa struggles with poverty and unemployment, which can lead some into the underbelly of drugs and gangs.
Paul Talliard started Hands of Honour in response to the alarming amount of drug addicts and destitute men who rely on the hospice of soup kitchens. He sought to give them a sense of purpose, while uplifting the community, by transforming derelict buildings which are havens for drug addicts and criminals into safe, attractive public spaces.
It’s inspiring to see how the hope of one man can spread to and assist so many.
