The crew members at the community channel were robbed and physically assaulted by four armed men at their studio in Observatory.
It is alleged that four men entered the studios and held the 20 crew members at gunpoint for 20 minutes.
CTV station manager Karen Thorne said the men verbally and physically abused the crew.
“They were forced to the ground and were beaten and pistol-whipped. They got very violent and broke a few cameras before locking the crew inside,” said Thorne.
The suspects then fled the scene with three cameras that were recently donated by MultiChoice.
Since the incident, all production has been halted, and Thorne has appealed to locals to donate any cameras for them to continue their work.
Police confirmed that cameras and cellphones had been stolen. No arrests have been made.
