A dramatic car chase and shootout took place on the N1 at the Brighton turnoff in Kraaifontein this afternoon.
According to the security firm Titanium Securitas’ Facebook page, traffic is now backed up in the direction of Paarl as a result of the incident and motorists are advised to make use of alternative routes.
“Emergency Services and SAPS on scene,” the page reads.
SAPS had not yet responded to queries sent by Cape Town Etc at the time of publishing.
