Clad in a Spiderman t-shirt and a pair of wraparound shades, a local man took on a task that many deemed extreme – he did several handstands at the top of the famed Table Mountain Aerial Cableway, and blew Cape Town away with this feat.
Jeff Ayliffe, who is the owner of Jeff Ayliffe Media, regularly partakes in races and enjoys an active lifestyle. He has also started a diary called #handstand365, where he does a handstand every day of the year and in various locales. He has done handstands in plane cabins, on hotel water features, cannons and in drone cages, but we cannot think of anything that could top this morning’s handstand.
“Right at this moment, I’m still trying to absorb this experience. Undoubtedly my most difficult handstand to date, despite a tether, a fall forward was not an option. The job of shutting out absolutely everything, and finding a place of total calm, was so rewarding, and to a degree, a life spent dancing with these situations gave me the tools to have made this one special,” Ayliffe said after completing the handstand. “This handstand #332. I looked the number up. ‘It’s an angelic number, that sends positivity, and makes you happy.. a number that tells you everything is in order in your life, and that so far, you have done everything right.. ‘.”
