Loved and hated in equal measure, Marmite is an undeniably unique spread. The brand recently went a step further and invented a product with a curious new combination: Marmite, with its distinctive sharp, yeasty taste, and crunchy peanut butter.
Released in the United Kingdom on March 25, Marmite Peanut Butter has received both praise and condemnation for its uncommon taste. According to Marmite, it created the unusual spread due to an overwhelming demand from its consumers. “We’re delighted to bring the nation exactly what they’ve been craving with the creation of Marmite Peanut Butter,” the company said.
Cape Town Etc has made contact with Unilever to ascertain whether this novel flavour combination will be making its way to South Africa’s shores, but have not yet received any comment back on this.
Here are the opinions of those who have tried Marmite Peanut Butter:
I’ve now tried 6 supermarkets for the marmite peanut butter, is it a joke I am not getting and it’s not really real?
