Metrorail has announced that trains at Cape Town station have been suspended until further notice due to equipment failure on Wednesday.
In a tweet, Metrorail said a shuttle has been provided for the route between Fish Hoek and Salt River.

Technicians are busy working on the problem.

News24 quoted Metrorail spokesperson Zico Mihli as saying: “We are experiencing failure at Cape Town station affecting all trains. This necessitates the temporary suspension of trains in the region until further notice.”
