Three men were arrested when they were found in possession of a stolen vehicle, which is registered to the missing horse rider Meghan Cremer. According to a statement by the South African Police Services (SAPS), the suspects are aged 27, 34 and 35 respectively.

“Detectives are following up all possible leads in order to establish if there is a link between the suspects and the missing person,” spokesperson FC Van Wyk said.

As reported by TimesLIVE, a private investigator was hired by the Cremer family to track the 30-year-old down three days after her disappearance.

“You get a lot of weirdos calling at this stage of a search, so we want the family to remain out of the public eye as much as possible,” private investigator, Noel Pratten, said. “We would very much appreciate information, though. If members of the public are able to come forward, if they have seen Meghan, they should contact us.”

Pratten can be reached on 084 762 5913.

Cremer was last seen leaving her home on Vaderlansche Rietvlei farm on Saturday, August 2 at approximately 6.24pm, and has not been seen since. Yesterday, her white Toyota Auris, with registration number CX29727, was reportedly spotted at a roadblock in Wynberg, and further sightings were later reported in Grassy Park.

Her brother, Paul Cremer, who works with her at a Woodstock bakery, has set up a GoFundMe account to help the family deal with the growing financial strain of having Pratten assist in finding her.

The three suspects will appear in the Athlone Magistrate’s Court after they have been charged for the possession of suspected stolen property.

The 30-year-old was last seen wearing a green top with black tracksuit pants, and was seen in her car.
