Twenty-five-year-old Anqelique Ripepi from Muizenberg left for a job interview on Saturday morning and never returned, and her family is appealing to the public for any information on her whereabouts.
Ripepi was last seen wearing a floral top, a pair of leggings and Converse All Stars. She was carrying a small pouch that contained her cell phone and was making her way to Tableview Mall to interview for a job there.
Speaking to IOL, Ripepi’s mother, Dawn Matthee, said that her daughter’s boyfriend opened a missing person’s case at Muizenberg’s police station after he was unable to get hold of her.
“Angelique has a six-year-old daughter who she loves unconditionally, waiting for her to come home. She has never done something like this and would never leave everyone hanging like this. We are very worried about her as it’s three days now and we still haven’t heard from her. We are urging anyone with information to go to the police or talk to us. We are just praying for her safety, wherever she is,” Matthee said.
In a separate case, another desperate family is still searching for their beloved nine-year-old daughter Linathi Titshala, affectionately known as Nomnqindi.
Linathi was last seen two days before her 10th birthday on December 16, and was wearing a pair of black skinny jeans, a grey top which was laced at the back and a pair of black slippers. She went missing while walking from her mother’s home to her grandmother’s home in Delft. The two houses are only three doors apart from one another.
Her grandmother made the discovery that she was missing that same afternoon.
Last week, a team of forensic experts and a K9 Unit yielded no results.
Police spokesperson Noloyiso Rwexana said the authorities would not stop looking for her and the investigation continues.
